The Sparta Education Foundation hosted A Night With the New Jersey Devils on Friday, March 25 as the Devils faced off against the Washington Capitals at The Prudential Center in Newark. A portion of each ticket sold went to support the Sparta Education Foundation.

- The thought of a run on a bright, brisk Thanksgiving morning turned out to be irresistible to over 2,260 runners who participated in the 9th annual Krogh's Turkey Trot in Lake Mohawk, recognized as New Jersey's fifth-largest 5K.
The AP Biology class designed and built an aquarium to help students understand the importance of conservation and how it affects the coral reef and the fish that depend on it.
The Sparta Education Foundation (SEF) held its third annual Wine and Beer Tasting and Food Pairing fundraiser on September 20, which was graciously hosted by Tom and Kylen Anderson in their Lake Mohawk home. Over 70 people attended this year's event which also featured an assortment of gourmet food specially selected to pair with the wine and beer.
The Sparta Education Foundation (SEF) is pleased to welcome Emily Holdsworth as a trustee and Guiseppe "Joe" Leone, Principal of the Alpine School, as Principal Liaison. The SEF will also work closely with Dr. Daniel Johnson, the new Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Staff Development for the Sparta Board of Education.

Christine Collister and Marilyn Steneken, science teachers from Sparta Middle School (SMS), were among the teachers who attended a MakerBot 3-D printer workshop Oct. 22-24 at Picatinny Arsenal. The SEF recently donated three 3-D printers to SMS.
The SEF is proud to announce that three Sparta High School photography students were recognized for their work at the New Jersey State Fair in Augusta this month: Sydney Liebman won First Place in the Adult category, Molly Curly won Best in Show and Kelly Carolan won Third Place both in the Student category.
