Amy Cilli Joins Sparta Education Foundation as a Trustee

Posted Tue, Jan 24th, 2017 By Gwen Donovan

Sparta resident Amy Cilli was recently named a board member of the Sparta Education Foundation

Amy Cilli recently joined the Sparta Education Foundation (SEF) as a board member. "We are happy to welcome Amy to the SEF board," said Danielle Dykstra, President of the SEF. "She brings new energy and ideas to her Trustee position, and we are looking forward to working together to enhance our schools with new educational grants in the months and years to come."

Cilli is a recruiter for Restoration Hardware and also works as a freelance photographer. She and her children have lived in Sparta for the past 15 years. Until recently, Cilli spent eight years as an Advocate/Volunteer with CASA, an organization which advocates for foster children in the court system. Currently, she is a certified volunteer with the NJ Sharing Network, a member of the Newton Medical Center Ambassador's Club, and a trustee/secretary of her Homeowner's Association.

"My experiences volunteering at SEF events like the Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning and Dragon Boat Festival in May have given me a deeper understanding about how much the Foundation does to make our public schools a better place by funding exciting new grants," Cilli said. "As a parent with two children in the District, I have seen the positive difference this organization has made in the educational experiences of all our students, so I am proud to be a board member. I'm looking forward to making meaningful contributions to the SEF."

The Sparta Education Foundation strengthens public schools, supports teachers and inspires students. Since 2006, they have donated over $775,000 in grants to all five of Sparta's public schools. The Foundation is an independent, non-profit, all-volunteer organization whose mission is to engage the entire community in philanthropic giving. Visit for more information.
